Nov 8, 2020 ¡ Hello all, I've installed in my car (2007 Ford Mondeo MK4) an aftermarket navigation unit running Android 8.1. I've installed it correctly, connecting also the CANBUS decoder thing which came in the navigation package. The problem is that the steering wheel controls don't work. The navigation cannot read the steering wheel buttons commands.

I was thinking of using fuse no. 23, a 10Amp micro fuse, which is labelled as the âdelayed accessory powerâ. Not had a chance yet to put the multimeter on it. These fuses are located in the front passenger footwell.
Mar 29, 2017 ¡ Master-of-none. Obviously this may not work if the display is dead but, with ignition on or engine running, try the heater A/C panel reset and self test mode. Press 'off' and 'footwell' together for 2 seconds, release then immediately press 'auto' or 'on' (if you don't have auto).

May 10, 2018 ¡ It is a bit confusing, as some videos on youtube describe same noise as whine, and some as whistle. It sounds like a vacuum cleaner, and starts as distant police siren. When the car is stationary it only occurs at 3000 rpm. When driving, 2000 rpm and even earlier when driving uphill. There is no smoke or power loss.

May 2, 2015 ¡ Popped the wires through and they came out behind the glovebox. If you want to secure it, use some rubber seal to waterproof it,. the camera will be located in the front grill and the video wire needs to go into the car regardless of whether the power is coming from the engine bay or not.
